UNAI SDG Hub 4 Vice-Chair for Teaching and Education: SRM Institute of Science and Technology

SRMIST has a strong capacity to support transformative education initiatives aligned with global goals. Our University Learning and Development Centre has enhanced teaching excellence across disciplines, promoting inclusive, active and equitable learning environments. Our eLearning Tools (eLab, eCircuit, eSkill) empower 99,000+ students and 2,400+ faculty with self-paced, digital learning, conducting over 400,000+ assessments for sustainable skill development. Through the SRMIST-Cambridge Professional Development Centre, over 500 faculty members are advancing as global educators via programs in Teaching learning, Teaching with digital technologies, bilingual teaching, and  educational leadership. These efforts, coupled with industry/NGO collaborations, position SRMIST as a leader in innovative, equitable education, directly advancing SDG 4’s vision of quality lifelong learning for all.

UNAI SDG Hub 4 Vice-Chair for Research: Makerere University

Makerere University is the oldest higher institution of learning in Uganda. The university responds to national, regional and international development challenges through provision of education, engagement in cutting edge and evidence-based research in line with the university vision of being ‘a thought leader of knowledge generation for societal transformation and development’. It has several units that focus on research with specific focus on sustainability including the Makerere University Centre for Climate Change Research and Innovations where global SDG4 related information is domesticated. The university provides inclusive quality education to all without discrimination based on gender including the differently abled leaners without leaving anyone behind.
